Rowdy Maltese Mix Austin, TX

Rowdy is a male Maltese who is 9 years old and weighs 9-10 pounds. He could stand to lose a pound or two. His owner passed away leaving he and his sidekick Pistol to fend for themselves. They traveled all the way from Amarillo to Austin by way of Ft. Worth. Rowdy had a luxating patella and a torn ACL in the same knee. He had surgery to correct those problems and has fully recovered. He is a smart little guy and loves to eat. He can be a cuddle boy but he has to be lifted to your lap as he can't jump very well. He can use a doggy door and is house trained. He has some good years left and would love to have a nice forever home. It would be nice if he could be adopted with his life long friend Pistol but they are pretty independent and can be adopted separately.
Adoption fee is $75.

We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. Many health issues are taken care of before a dog leaves a rescue: spaying, neutering, immunizations, dental care, and in some cases major surgery.
