Avery is a very special little guy. He does tend to get nervous around new people, but he has warmed up to his current foster considerably over time. He has made really amazing progress -- it just took him a while to settle in. He will come to sit near people he knows and likes to be petted, and while he is quite sweet and playful, he is not overly social with other people. He tolerates small dogs, but he is not a big fan of children. Avery would do best in a home with another friendly cat. Avery also needs special attention because one of his eyes does not close entirely -- the vets can't decide exactly why this is, but it isn't a major health concern, and it has become less of an issue over time. He is otherwise a healthy kitty and has the added bonus of "winking" at people all the time, which is utterly charming. His unique pale orange colouring makes him just beautiful. He deserves a wonderful...
