3.5 year old, less than 50 pound Sheila is friendly, social, and knows basic commands. She loves running around the agility yard chasing sticks, ropes, and balls, but hasn't learned to bring them back...she just likes to hold them as she dashes around.


Sheila got a chance to go to an offsite event that included 8 other County shelter dogs, lots of runners, booths, and runner-owned dogs. We're happy to announce that she got along with all the shelter and runner-owned dogs! She was also quiet in the car and just preferred to lay down and look at you with those adoring beautiful amber eyes.


Recently, Sheila was put to the ultimate test...moved to an end-of-building kennel where staff and public are continuously walking by. She remains calm in her kennel, often still in her igloo, and comes up to the kennel gate when called to get that bit of affection. What a sweetie !


Sheila recently attended the Earth Day Festival with a dedicated volunteer. She was great in the car; she settled in nicely, lying down in the back seat and patiently waiting to arrive at the park. On the ride back, she willingly jumped into the car, and again demonstrated her great car manners. At the festival she did great with people and dogs alike ! She loved the belly rubs, pats, and ear scratches she got from festival attendees. She returned the favor by showering her admirers with lots of kisses! Sheila would love to be your new best pal.
