Leon American Eskimo Dog & Golden Retriever Mix San Diego, CA

Handsome as a lion, 3-year-old Leon is always turning heads. His beautiful auburn coat is striking, and his eyes and lips are lined in stunning black. Leon is the kind of dog who smiles when he trots up to greet you, like you are an old friend he's been waiting to see. He's not afraid to roll over for a belly rub after he introduces himself! Leon is a sweet, playful guy, and naturally easy on the leash. He is very tuned in to the humans around him, and has a natural eager-to-please instinct that will make training him a breeze. Leon is great around people, and also a good friend to his canine companions, including our sweet, shy guy Virgil (http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23159929). Leon and Virg love playing together in the Barking Lot's yard, and especially enjoy a raucous game of fetch together. Leon is about 40 lbs. and is looking for someone who will appreciate an active guy who also settles in nicely for some loving.  In March 2013, Leon was diagnosed with epilepsy. Unfortunately, his previous adopters returned him because of this medical condition. Canine epilepsy is treatable with inexpensive daily medication, about 30 cents a day.
