Sebastian Shih Tzu Normal, IL

Sebastian is a thirteen month old male Shih Tzu, weighing about 10 pounds. He was found running loose in the city. When his owners were located they were unable to pay the large fines, since he had never been to the vet. He has a rather curly black and white coat, and his flag-like tail is always wagging! Beautiful Sebastian needs a stable home where he can permanently lay his head. Sebastian's foster mom said this about him: "Sebastian is a diamond in the rough. He has so much to offer. He just needs someone who is willing to be patient with him and put in the time to teach him some skills. His former people let this guy down by not socializing him- he probably has never even worn a collar. You can tell he wants to love and be loved. After a little time in our home he is starting to show interest in soft toys and chewies. He is just now trusting me enough to take a treat from me. He will seek you out when he wants to snuggle. Sebastian is a snugglemaster. He just melts into you. Sometimes he is content finding a quiet corner and enjoying his own company. He is crate trained and nearly housetrained. Sebastian likes to take walks and hang out in the back yard, as long as his person is present. He does love his bones. He always is at the door when I leave, wanting to take a car ride. Sebastian pulls a little on the leash, but he responds well to gentle correction. He resource guards a bit and probably should be fed and played with separately from my other dogs."

Sebastian has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives. His minimum adoption donation is $295.
