George is a sweet dog who is fearful of new people and animals. Because of that, he needs to be introduced slowly to them. A smart dog, he learns new commands fairly quickly. He is about 2 to 3 years old, weighs 30lbs, and is about the size of a small Australian Shepherd. George really would like to find a new home where he gets lots of love and patience. Since he is so fearful of new people, he would prefer a home with very few people visiting. He enjoys being close to his human, but is also okay about being left at home during the day. Since he is still young, he enjoys playing and looks forward to play time with his human. He also enjoys playing chase with other dogs. He was picked up as a stray and had fur that was matted to over an inch thick. There was no salvaging his coat, so he had to be shaved down. However, he should have a long, full coat when his fur grows in. He is looking for an owner who is willing to put in the work to keep his fur well groomed - - or who wants to keep his fur really short. He needs professional grooming at least once a month. If George has a long coat, he needs to be brushed once a day to keep his full coat from matting. Adoption fee for him is $100, donations are always welcome.
