LOCATED IN BRYAN, TEXAS
MEET CARTER! - An utterly adorable 8-10 month old "snickerdoodle" puppy looking for a special new home and family. He is currently 20 lbs. and will be between 25-30 lbs. and a medium sized doodle once he fully matures. He has a soft, fleece non-shedding coat that will require grooming every 6-8 weeks. Carter looks and acts exactly like a miniature Goldendoodle puppy. But we can't say for sure exactly what he is other than some combination of Poodle or possibly Wheaten mix. We are certain that Carter is just about as adorable as they come and his personality and temperament are exceptional. He's a STAR no matter what he may be!



Carter was rescued from a rural kill shelter in Texas after being picked up as a stray by local animal control. He was never claimed by his owners. He is the sweetest most loving little guy and we can't imagine how someone could let him go! His foster mom reports "OK. So there's no such thing as a "Snicker-doodle." But I think this classification fits Carter perfectly!  Since no one can tell us exactly what he is other than adorable! We have decided that he HAS to be some kind of a "doodle." So snickerdoodle it is! Carter is SO sweet and such a total LOVE BUG. We want to EAT HIM UP! We really wish Carter could talk so he could tell us "his story" because the story that we know just doesn't make sense!  Why in the world would someone not be looking for their doodle puppy? He is so good-natured,sweet, loving and doesn't know a stranger!  Our vet does not believe that he was "on the street" long -- he's just too clean.  I suppose that he had to be go thru a "rough" patch to make his way to us and most importantly, to DRC and ultimately his forever home! Oh, did I mention that he's housebroken?? Well, he is!! And he is so well-mannered with our dogs and everyone.By the way, he gives THE BEST doodle-kisses!"



Carter will need a fenced in yard and an active puppy-savvy family. He would do best with another well-mannered dog for company. He is completely house-trained, and knows most basic commands. He is neutered, micro-chipped and UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. Carter will be a wonderful addition to the right family.
