Meet Bailey

Meet BAILEY! This precious little girl is a small Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is 10 months old. She is a gorgeous chestnut color with black around her nose and white paws and belly. BAILEY only weighs 34 pounds.

BAILEY was rescued from the animal shelter and she currently in our foster program. She is so precious and very friendly! She loves to play and is house trained. She is lovable and knows her basic commands. BAILEY is a cuddlebug and loves to be around people. She is currently being fostered with 5 other dogs and 1 kitty, and does wonderfully with all. She LOVES to swim and play in the water. BAILEY is an athlete and would do great with an energetic family or a good fenced backyard to play in.

BAILEY's adoption donation is $125. Which includes her spay, vaccinations, including the distemper combo and Bordetella, dewormer and flea control. She will also be microchipped prior to adoption.

If you would like to add BAILEY to your family, please review the information below. BAILEY is ready for a forever home of her very own!

Dog Adoption Guidelines:

You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application.

It is not a "first come" process; we try to "match" the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status.

The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs.

We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.

If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person.

We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport.

We can't provide individual "meet and greet" sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
