Meet Harley and Emma

PUPDATE NOV 17-12: YIPPEE!  We found an amazing new home and Emma has her own blankie to burrow in already!

PUPDATE OCT 5-2012: So what the heck is going on? NO ONE HAS EVEN ASKED ABOUT US!  We're the BEST kids you'll ever find and yeah, we may have a few years on our old bones but come ON, we're pawfect!  That's what Ant Chris says and she's never wrong.  We sleep a lot, we snuggle a LOT, and we always do our bidnez outside.  We love to eat and treats ROCK our world.  We get along with everypuppy but the young whippersnappers that are here are kind of annoying so we just ignore them.  We'd really like a home of our own.  We don't think that's asking too much...do you?

JULY 4-2012: Emma: Well, Harley, looks like no one wants us.
Harley: What are you saying, Emma? Why would no one want us?!
Emma: I don't know, Harley, but there hasn't even been anybody ASKING about us! We can't get any cuter than we already are, ya know what I mean?
Harley: Maybe we need to learn a trade, Emms. Could you learn to be a plumber?
Emma: I have as much chance of learning to be a plumber as you do learning how to do ballet. Idiot.
Harley: Who you callin, "Idiot?" I was just trying to think of what we could do to get people to want us to come live with them. Sheesh. Lighten up.
Emma: Sorry, Harley. I guess I'm just kinda bummed that no one wants us. We don't do our business in the house, we sleep under the covers at night, and we nap most of the day, so I mean, seriously...how much better could we BE?!
Harley: I guess we just need to be a little more patient. Ant Chris says someone will want us one of these days. In the meantime, I'm going to go take a nap.
Emma: You're so lazy.

MAY 25-12: Emma and Harley...what can I say about these two except they are EXCEPTIONAL!! So sweet, so loving, so FUNNY. They are brother and sister, they've been together their entire lives, and they're 14 years young. Yep, 14! Check out the video of Emma demanding that Amy pick her up. It's one of the funniest videos I've ever taken.

Emma and Harley love to snuggle and both like to sleep under the covers. They are just darling. Oh, yeah, they're each around 10 pounds or so, healthy as they can be for seniors, and deserve the best in their golden years.

Harley and Emma's adoption donation is $200 for both of them.

Visit me, Jordan, Boss of EveryPuppy of the Universe, at FLUFFYBUTTS RESCUE RESORT.

Fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you're interested in being adopted by this cute kid. It's the first step in the pawcess.

ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member. We do not ship these kids on airplanes by themselves - we think they'd have a hard time getting through security without their rabies tag setting off the metal detectors. If the kid needs a health certificate because they're flying home, that will be an expense for the new family. ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount doesn't even come close to covering that kid's dogtor bills. This is definitely not a money-making venture. We're usually so far in the hole but the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top pawority. (I just can't resist using "paw" whenever I can!)

POTTY TRAINING: Please note that we NEVER say our kids are 100% potty-trained. How stupid would we be to say something like that? If you're willing to be trained by your new family member, please fill out an application. If you're looking for a totally potty-trained kid, you may as well stop at the toy store on your way home from work and buy a stuffed toy because those are the only reliable ones to NOT potty in your home. There is a period of adjustment, not just for the new family member but for everyone in the house. You must be patient, understanding, and willing to work with your new family member. It can take anywhere from several days to several months. You must be 100% committed to this, it's a lifetime commitment.

HUG AND KISS YOUR KIDLETS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW.

Please be patient with us - we're taking care of a lot of kids - our own and the foster kids - and we have families, homes and full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids, playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners and where to do their business, and cleaning up their accidents. In other words, we're just a little busy but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. Thanks!
