Meet SANDY - Mountain Adventurer!!!

Sandy is such an amazing dog! We saved him his last minute at a gassing shelter in Texas, and we'll always be grateful that we did. He is such a wonderful, sweet, snuggly guy who enjoys every minute of every day.  He was so polite at his photo shoot too!  He  especially loves mountain living and is in foster care near Frisco.  He loves hiking and exploring the forest with his amazing foster mom. We'd love to find an active, furever home for sweet Sandy! He deserves that! He is great with other dogs, likes to play. He is still very young, and will need a home committed to getting him out every day for fun and adventure.

Sandy was adopted and recently returned because he just couldn't live peacefully with his family's cats.  He is just a cat chaser, and even though he went through a training class there was no changing Sandy's glee in chasing cats.

Sandy is an active boy and in foster care near Breckenridge, Colorado and doing great. He is with other dogs and loves other dogs, does great with them.

Here is what his foster mom says:

Sandy is going to be a great dog for someone, really just needs a consistent hand with learning to walk better on a leash and some basic obedience, but he is a GOOD dog and is already responding to recall. I took him for a 6 mile run yesterday with one of my other dogs and he stayed with us the whole time and came when called, I feel fairly comfortable with him off leash already in a place where it's not possible to get to a street.
And he is such a SWEETIE, just wants to snuggle and be with his human, but not annoying - settles right in but loves to jump on the bed and wake me up in the morning. He gets along great with my dogs and we have had absolutely no trouble with other dogs we meet on the trail.
He is still young and strong, so someone who would be willing to give him a good dose of exercise every day would be great. I'm sure he will be a great ski companion too as he already loves to hike, run, and swim.
