Chester - RESCUED by ANIMAL ALLIANCE and Available for Adoption Through Them!! Terrier Mix Sewaren, NJ

RESCUE NEEDED…Chester is a 3 yr old mixed breed who needs rescue. His skin scraping came back positive for ringworm on top of a bacteria and yeast infection. All of Chester’s canine teeth have been filed down or removed as well, which the owner had no explanation for. He will need weeks of medical treatment and our shelter is quickly filling up. Chester was removed from a work trailer where he spent the last 1 ½ yrs of his life, living in his own feces and urine without much human contact. He needs to be introduced to the world again. Everything seems to frighten him. He has been temperament tested and has shown us that he avoids stressful situations and chooses to retreat from what he perceives as a threat. He is very low energy and docile, no food aggression and seems to want to be around other dogs. Chester has been fully vaccinated, neutered, tested neg for heartworm/Lyme disease. We will supply rescue with necessary medications as well. Please call the Woodbridge Animal Shelter in NJ if you are a rescue and are able to physically and mentally rehab Chester (732) 726-7036. At this point, Chester is not emotionally ready to go into a home so you must be a 501c3 rescue to pull him. No pull fee. Most shelters would not give Chester a chance, but the WAS Supervisor Heather Campione has acknowledged the progress he has already made in the short time he has been with us...
