Butterfly (Guest) German Shepherd Dog Roswell, GA

Butterfly is a pretty black & tan female GSD, about 1 1/2 years old. She was taken in by a kind person who will keep her until a new home is found. A picture is attached.

Butterfly loves people, and is very sweet. Overall, she is calm, mellow and submissive. Although she may be a little shy at first, she does warm up fast. Her confidence is low, and she will need a person who has had some GSD experience to help her come out of her shell and socialize her. We recommend taking her through formal obedience training to help build her confidence. She likes other dogs, but will do best in a home with a confident, balanced dog. A calm home with adults only or older children (12 and up) would work best for her. We think she would be OK with cats. She is not overly active but will need regular exercise.

Butterfly appears to be housebroken and crate trained. She knows some basic commands but will need work walking on leash, she does pull. Butterfly must be adopted to a home with a fenced yard, she is a fence climber. A 6-foot wooden fence will work for her, she has climbed out of a chain link. It will take some time to get her used to staying in the yard, so we do not recommend a home where she will be left outside unattended. Butterfly is spayed and up to date on shots and Heartworm preventive.
