Archer Anatolian Shepherd & German Shepherd Dog Mix Lubbock, TX

Hi friends, I'm Archer! I'm a huge cuddlebug (literally...huge!) who is looking for a nice cozy place to live out the rest of my senior years. I know I'm considered a "giant" breed mix (I think I'm an anatolian shepherd/german shepherd mix) which means I'm probably not going to live into my teens like so many of my friends here at the Haven will get to do. But you know what...I'm okay with that, as long as my remaining years are wonderful ones! I'm experiencing what many giant breeds experience as we age--my frame is starting to hinder my ability to get around well. My back end just doesn't work like it used to to hold me up! You know what that means...I don't require daily walks! I do have a daily medication to help me out, but even that isn't always a great solution. If you like to be a lazy couch potato like me, we'll be a perfect match! I am obviously perfectly content to lounge around inside and just be your friend. I was born in 2006, so yes, I'm going to be 10 this next year. But hey...I'm still as healthy (aside from my hind legs) as a horse! I get along great with other dogs as long as they don't try to push me around. I'm not an alpha-dog AT ALL, so it kind of leaves me in the position of getting picked on by the alphas. I just want to be a friend to everyone! I am great with kids (so long as they don't pounce on me--remember my back end?) and just want all the love anyone can give me! So, have I convinced you to come out and meet me? Perfect! My agenda happens to be wide open...come out whenever the Haven is open! (That would be Tues-Fri 2-5 and Sat 10-5). You can get all of me and all of my love and affection for only $100 (includes my neuter, current vaccinations, and microchip)! Remember, I may be a senior guy, but I'm still deserving of a forever home!
