THIS GORGEOUS NINE MONTH PUP NAMED "RIPLEY" WAS IN THE CITY SHELTER ... IN DEFINITE DANGER OF BEING PUT DOWN ...

He is now with a loving foster home in Brooklyn and doing great. He is a puppy and all that means, but he is a GREAT dog.

Here's what his foster mom says about him: "Ripley, formerly known as "Boy", is a gorgeous 9-month old tan and white labrador retriever-pitbull mix. He is very affectionate and likes to give kisses, cuddle, and have his belly rubbed. He really loves to be near people, and will be a very faithful companion. He can fetch a ball, sit on command and gently take food from you and will also allow you to take his bowl away peacefully. He especially likes to chase his tail, and sometimes he even catches it. Because he is a puppy, he will need lots of chew toys and patience until he is a well-mannered prince that I know he will be. He is a quick learner and has already learned some new things like "give me your paw", "lie down" and "stay" in the short time he's been with his foster mom and brother. He loves children, but because he is a big goofy puppy with typical puppy behaviors, a patient home with active grownups and without small children would be ideal for him (he's still a little mouthy but we're working on that).
