Fletcher Belgian Shepherd / Sheepdog & German Shepherd Dog Mix High Point, NC

Handsome Fletcher’s owner died and he was left alone, tied outside in the yard, with no one to care for him. He got thin, down to 42#, but he never gave up hope and was certain someone kind would come take care of him. Luckily, he was rescued and is now in good hands with us. This sweet three year old who looks amazingly like a Belgian Sheepdog but is probably a Shepherd mix, is affectionate and enjoys meeting new people. He seems like he enjoyed a good life before his owner got sick and died since he is a good natured, happy boy. He certainly enjoys playing and adores squeaky balls to chase after. Fletcher is pretty good at fetching, too and does not mind a bit it you take his ball or toy back so it can be thrown again! He thinks people are pretty fun to play with but he has been an only dog so he is just learning how to be around all the other dogs here that want to play. He’s been a nice boy, just not quite sure what they want yet! Since he is young and energetic (but not overactive, just a healthy, happy guy), a 6’ fenced yard would be ideal for him to romp around in. We don’t know his breed but he has a handsome face that looks a lot like a Shepherd with unusual fur that is long, soft, and luxurious and a fluffy tail that sweeps the air so elegantly. If you put a picture of him next to one of a Belgian Shepherd Sheepdog, they look almost identical. He has kind eyes and will tilt his head to look at you and just looks so adorable. We are just getting to know Fletcher but he seems like a very good natured fellow who should be comfortable and happy in a variety of homes. He just wants a good one!
