Hi my name is Monroe. I am a stately senior southern gentleman. I am not sure what I did to end up in a shelter in Alabama but that is where Critter Cavalry found me. I am 10 years old and I weigh 8 lbs. I am a very nice boy who has been someone's pet. They did not take very good care of me though as my left front leg was broken at one time and no one took me to the vet. That leg is noW shorter than my other three. I use it sometimes but usually hold it up. Miss Vivienne wonders if my owner died and no one in the family wanted me. They took me to the shelter and dropped me off. I am a wonderful boy who loves to be in your lap. I am a little love bug. I get along well with other dogs and I love people. I would probably do better in a quieter environment. I would be an excellent companion for an older person or couple. I am housebroken and whine or go to the door to let you know that I need to go out. I do have the beginning of cataracts.  I can still see but not very well.  I am also losing my hearing.  If you are lookig for someone that you can dote on and shower with love then I am the one for you.  I really am low maintenance.  I just need a loving person to take care of me and daily eye medicine.  I am neutered, current on all my shots and microchipped.
