Panther Cane Corso Mix Cleveland, OH

Panther, a 6-8 month old Italian Mastif / Boxer / Lab mix, is an arrival from the City of Cleveland kennel. She was picked up as a stray in early April and waiting for her owners to claim her but they never came to get her. She was very shy when we met her in her kennel cage. She was cowering in the back corner and frightened to come out. We encouraged her and got her out but she was still shy on the kennel grounds during her intake evaluation. We specialize in caring for the shy/timid dogs because we have experience working with them and helping them grow confident.

Once we got Panther to our facility and introduced her to the dogs in the daycare pack she was a different dog. It was like a light switch went off and she became totally comfortable with the dogs. She is still hesitant about humans so we are working on that through one-on-one time with our staff. Panther is spayed, heartworm tested negative, on flea and heartworm preventative and up to date on shots.

We are currently seeking a foster home for Panther. She is a sweetheart so we'd love for her to have even a temporary place to call home.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
