Meet Skye
They say everyone deserves a 2nd chance... Right now, Skye is helping others get that chance.
Skye is a 1.5 year old Pit Bull/Great Dane mix that was rescued from the Lompoc Shelter. He was chosen as a candidate for Shadow's Fund's 2nd Chance Dog program at a local prison. Serving as a companion, a student, a teacher, and a job for several inmates, Skye has made a difference in the inmates lives and they in turn have had quite an impact on him. When he first entered the program this 80 lb lap dog had no manners, didn't listen and had more energy that he knew what to do with. This program has taught him boundaries, focus and a few tricks. He is working on passing his canine obedience test and will make a great addition to an active family. He loves playing with toys and his favorite activity might be playing with other dogs. This love-a-bull young dog needs a strong handler and would make a great running partner.
