Meet Sherlock (Ritzy)

We recently got a call to help save a group of dogs that were in a hoarding situation. We took puppies and adults, all in various stages of socialization (or lack of) and all severely neglected in terms of grooming and general care. We are providing the grooming, health care, sterilization and most of all TLC for these dogs in hopes of finding all of them wonderful homes of their own.  The Shaggy Boys are young adult males (probably brothers @ 2years old). They appear to be Cocker/Poodle mixes. All of them were in need of serious grooming and had to be mostly shaved. They are learning about new things- just felt grass for the first time and are cautiously approaching people. They are interested but uncertain. Once they decide to approach, all of them have started to bond with the foster mom. We will keep updating their page with new photos and info. Sebastian is adopted. UPDATE: It's been over a month and Sebastian has been adopted. Spencer and Sherlock have made great strides as well and are ready for just about any home. They have discovered the joy of human companionship and would like their own special person.  Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes.
All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
