Archie didn't have much of a start on life. He was on a farm in Eastern Tennessee and when the farm was sold, the new owners didn't want him anymore. He was lucky in that he was surrendered and came into rescue, rather than going to a shelter. He has been spending time in training learning commands and how to walk on a leash and hang out with people. He has turned out to be quite the lover and his foster says this boy does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He needs to put on some weight to get up from his current weight of 75 lbs. to his full adult weight of around 100 lbs.

Prior to adoption, NGPR dogs are fostered for a minimum of two weeks (usually more), spayed or neutered and fully vetted. Dogs coming from out of area are certified with a USDA health certificate before going to their new homes.
