Hi! My name is Athena and I need a loving home! I have low grade mast cell tumors. My old family loved me but couldn't afford to have my tumors removed so they surrendered me to EDCR. EDCR got me to the vet and had all my tumors removed. Now I live in a nice foster home with some other dogs and cats until I can find a home of my own. I am a very sweet and laid back girl. I love to snuggle and get belly rubs! I get along great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. I am basically the sweetest girl around, or at least my foster mom says I am ;). Every Dog Counts Rescue (EDCR) is a non-profit organization founded to save the lives of dogs in high-kill shelters in the Midwest. Dogs facing death row are pulled from shelters and brought to Indianapolis where they are fostered and receive veterinary care. They are then transported to our rescue partners in areas of the country with less pet over-population, or EDCR searches for loving homes for them locally. EDCR believes that truly every dog counts, regardless of age, breed, injury or disability.
