Meet Magnum
My name is Magnum and I have been told I am quite a looker. I'm not sure what that means but I think it's a compliment! I came here with my sister when I was just a youngin. We both tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). It sounds scary, but it's really not that bad! You can learn more about FIV here: http://www.sheltermedicine.com/node/42
I am very healthy and playful, but could potentially get sick if exposed to an unhealthy environment or put under too much stress. As long as I have a comfortable indoor lifestyle and a loving family, there is no reason why I will not stay healthy for many years, just as long as any "normal" cat would.
I should not share living quarters with another cat - except another FIV+ cat like my good buddy Cricket here at the shelter. However, I can have a dog roommate because dogs cannot contract FIV. I think if you meet me you will be impressed by my sleek gray coat, sparkling green eyes and gentleman-like personality.
