Umbry aka Bayo Terrier & Rat Terrier Mix Augusta, ME

Umbry (also known as BayBay) is a happy three and a half year old Jack Russell / Parsons Russell / Rat terrier mix........... some kind of Terrier. We use those breeds because that is what he looks like except that he is twice the size!!! Umbry is 50 lbs and is house trained and crate trained and likes other dogs. He can be reactive when he thinks things are out of control ... so he would do best in a home where they are willing to work with him so he knows he's safe and doesn't need to worry. He likes people outside of the house but is protective of his space so he needs supervision when someone new enters house - once they are in he will shower them with love. He likes to be busy and is VERY smart!! Bay would love a home where he can get stimulation and exercise with his human or another dog in the family. But at night all he wants to do is snuggle with his person. Because of his prey drive and behavior we think a home without small animals or children would be best ...... could you be the right home for him?????

HIstory: Umbry was found wandering the streets of Arkansas when he was less than a year old; Unclaimed by an owner, Umbry spent several months residing in an animal shelter before making his way north to reside in foster care with Almost Home Rescue.

The adoption fee:
Under 7 months: $350
7 months to under 6 years: $300
6 years and under 9 years: $250
9 years and older: $200
Bonded pairs are $450 up through age 9.
Over age 9 bonded pairs are $250

This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm / lyme / erlichea tests,worming, flea preventative and transport costs. Many other rescues do not include all the above in their adoption fees.

We contract with Peterson Express Transport Service to bring our dogs to New England. Imported dogs are transported on a USDA approved transport with a Health Certificate. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to leaving Arkansas or Mississippi.
