And now a few words from me: Hi! My name is Lucky. I was found on the side of a highway, cold, hungry and lonely. A very wonderful lady took me in and gave me a loving warm home. While there I was crate trained but had to spend all day from 8 am until 6 pm in the crate. Now I have moved to a new home where I don’t need to spend a lot of time in the crate, only when the new fosters go out for an hour or two. It’s nice here as I get to go for long walks. What I would really like is a place that has a fenced yard where my owner and I could play hard, fetch or chase the stick etc. Another dog would be just wonderful!!!

And now a few words from my foster people: Lucky is a very gregarious dog. We fell in love with him right away and haven’t regretted it. He gets along with everyone, dogs, people and children. We don’t know about cats. He had a couple of potty mistakes when he first arrived but since then we have learned each other’s schedules and he does everything outside. We are here most of the time so are able to let him out during the day. He has what appears to be infinite energy until about 8 at night when, like the youngster he is, he curls up and snoozes. In the house he is quickly learning what is OK as far as what to do and how to behave. He’s quite responsive to a firm word. He does know a few commands, “sit”(most times) “off”(jumping up) and “back” (from the door when someone comes or goes). Outside on the leash (using a “halti”) he still needs a bit more training but is slowly coming along – his problem is that he is interested in every little thing and can’t wait to get there. We think he could be trained very quickly as he is a real people pleaser. He is gorgeous and has no aggression issues. He is very deserving of a good family who will love him forever.
