Tobey Labrador Retriever Torrance, CA

Tobey is a beautiful neutered jet black Labrador Retriever mix that is about 11 mos. - 12 mos. old. He weighs about 42 - 44 Lbs. He is a very healthy dog and has a shinny black velvet coat and he has sparkling white very clean teeth! He is a very active and playful dog, and loves to play with his toys and he also fetches a ball. He loves alot of attention and follows you like a shadow, when you show him he is loved! He is also very smart and learns very quickly since I trained him to be housebroken in 1 week and he learned how to sit and shake hands with a treat in just 2 weeks time. He seems very alert and listens to what you are asking him and wants to please you. He's friendly to other dogs and people while he's been on walks with me. However, I haven't run into any children or cats, so I don't know how he is with children or cats??? He is not a chewer, except he needs rawhide bones and toys to keep him preoccupied. Yet Tobey recently started digging in the backyard only because of boredom I am sure because I have to keep him outside almost all day now; because I also have a 3 - 4 mo. old puppy that I adopted that I am keeping, yet I can't keep together afterall, since Tobey is too big and doesn't realize his strength when he tries to play with my puppy. So that's why I have to keep them separate now, which has made him feel neglected and unloved. All he needs is a family who has either another dog his size or age to play with, or can be an only dog with an owner who will give him attention and love that Tobey needs.
