Good with cats: has been OK with his foster family's 4-year old cat

Not OK for apartments or town homes
Housetrained: yes
Crate trained: yes
Barking: hasn't been a problem
Chewing: hasn't been a problem
Exercise needs: medium to high
Fun & Games: Arlo has amazing talent with fetch games and loves all kinds of toys.
Dog training: Arlo's foster mom has been training him since March--he's becoming reliable with basic & intermediate level obedience commands.

Arlo's fosterer writes...

Arlo is a fun-loving, happy boy who makes friends easily with everybody---adults, kids, and other dogs. He is an interesting hybrid---clever like a Fox hound with the long body and sweet personality of a Bassett hound.


And, Arlo loves to learn! His foster mom does dog training, so Arlo has been in her "Gold Star" training program, specifically designed to teach specific obedience skills to young, energetic hounds---so they can be easier-to-live-with house pets. Part of his Gold Star training has been daily practice in fun, backyard retrieve games, ones that really wear him out, and as many dog owners know, a "tired dog" is a "good dog".


Arlo was a star on Channel 9's Petline9 segment.

Arlo is NOT expecting to attend the next adoption show , August 11th at the Calverton PetSmart, though there is always a chance plans may need to change.
