Meet Claire

Claire has 5 siblings in her litter and yet, people are always drawn to this very special little one. It could be her beautiful all white, glossy coat. Her foster mom says she is an absolute love bug and a very fast learner for such a young pup, and she adores meeting new people!

Claire is just 13 weeks old (born 12/9/11) and has already learned how to sit, lie down, leave it, come when called, drop it and stay. She's also catching on quickly to house training, practicing her leash manners and settles quickly and quietly into her crate. What's even more impressive is that Claire was born hearing-impaired. She is very attentive during her lessons and quite food and toy-motivated so she is still an excellent student and has learned hand signals for all her commands.

Cutie St. Claire not only bonded with her foster parents very naturally and easily, but she also takes to kids and other dogs and cats right away. She is just a social butterfly and enjoys all the interactions she can have.

When Little Claire isn't napping, socializing, dining on delicious puppy kibble or snuggling her Pit Stop people, she enjoys outings in the car--she'll gladly be your errand runner if you lend her your keys! She also loves a rousing game of fetch with her tennis ball or playing with her toys--who doesn't?

This baby girl is vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed, but will need her rabies vaccination when she's six months old.

This teensy gal's perfect home would include someone with experience raising and training a puppy--she'll need positive training methods, consistency, patience and a routine, as well as someone who is willing to work on hand signals. If we just described you and your home, and you're looking for someone extremely special to bring into your family and help shape them into an amazing adult dog--why wait? Contact us today to set up time to meet Claire. We're quite sure you won't be able to resist her powers.

Claire's adoption fee is $300. The adoption fee includes: altering, AVID microchip and registration (a $20 value), initial vaccines, copy of medical vet records/history, dewormed, flea treated, small bag of kibble, and plenty of post adoption support.

BAPBR adoption guidelines:

No same-sex pit bull terrier type dog pairings.

Same-sex adoptions with other breeds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, though not preferred.

Indoor homes only – we do not adopt out “outdoor” dogs or “guard” dogs.

Please note that adoption applicants must own their own home. A BAPBR representative will conduct a home check. There will be no exceptions made to this rule, due to the frequent restrictions on apartments, and rental homes.

Didn't find the right match at BABPR? We are continuously working with many other animal shelters and rescues and are usually able to help connect you to another dog that may be a better fit for your family. Please email us at Info@BAPBR.org so that we might be able to assist you--our ultimate goal is to make sure all dogs find loving homes, no matter where they currently reside.

I am looking for a leader who will keep up my training, and always show me boundaries and consistency. This will ensure that I keep giving my breed a good name. Our personalities are energetic, loyal, intelligent, fun loving, and affectionate. We require intelligent, responsible, and dedicated leadership. Because of our undeserved negative media image, human companions living with Pit Bull Terrier type dogs have to be more careful and responsible than the average human dog companion.

"To the world you may be just one person, but to a dog you are the world."

"No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich."
