Mel (female grey) and Buck (black male) are 2 very shy kittens around 9 months old. They need a very patient family that can work with them and their trust issues. Buck is more outgoing than his sister. They are not aggressive but very afraid. Once in a home with one on one contact daily they should hopefully progress to be more open to people in time. They would do best in a quiet home. Mel & Buck are part of the Sweet 16 - 16 cats & kittens that were stuffed in 2 small carriers and left on the side of the road in December.

The adoption fee for adult cats includes the following: spay or neuter procedure; 1 year Rabies vaccination; distemper vaccination, microchip and combo test of FIV (feline AIDS) and FeLV (feline leukemia). Other medical care provided might include treatments for fleas, ear mites, dental work or infections or other medical conditions. In the case of kittens who are too young for the spay/neuter surgery, arrangements for completion of this procedure are made upon discharge from the shelter. Additional kitten vaccinations will be the responsibility of the adopter. FIV testing is optional for a small fee of $15.
