Molly - HOUSETRAINED! English Shepherd Mix Rocky Mount, VA

Molly enjoys the company of non-reactive dogs and seems to be fine with cats. She walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car. In the house, she'll get the zoomies occasionally, but is quite happy to lay on the sofa for hours like the big, fluffy couch potato that she is! No desire to housetrain a dog? There's no need to with Molly, as she comes pretrained!

Molly is in the market for someone who will be patient with her and who'll be willing to work with her. She'd prefer to live with people who are home most or all of the time. Molly has been left so many times before; it's no wonder that she gets anxious when people leave. She's learned through painful experience that sometimes when people leave her, they don't come back; she was left at a high kill shelter and was rescued right before something awful was about to happen to her. Molly is timid in new situations and likes to have people that she feels comfortable with around; we can only imagine how terrified she must have been with all the noise and chaos at the pound. She was adopted soon after arriving at FCHS, but was returned the next day because she...ahem...found creative ways involving household furniture to relieve her anxiety when her new owners left for work. She doesn't ever want to be left again, and is currently taking medication to help her with her separation anxiety.

Once Molly bonds with a person, she's incredibly loyal and will be their constant companion. This sweet girl has seen more than her share of rough times and just wants a loving, stable home where she can feel safe and love her people, knowing that she'll never be left again.
