Rocky Siamese & Manx Mix Lethbridge, AB

History:

Renters had already moved out when the landlord found Rocky and his brother, Felix, in the yard of the property in September, 2011. There likely was a mother cat tending to them but either the person didn't realize that or perhaps assumed they had been abandoned. Although it's hard to know what to do when tiny kittens are found, ideally the area should be monitored for a few hours to see if there's a mother cat around.  It's always too bad when the mother is not rescued along with her kittens. Rocky and Felix were about four weeks old at the time.  Rocky's brother, Felix, came to us with a spinal injury and regrettably the young brothers had to be placed in separate foster homes.

Personality: 

The family that initially took them in (before PAW) had young children and so the kittens received frequent handling and lots of play time. Rocky and his brother were very well socialized when they came into the PAW foster system at the end of November, 2011.  Rocky is a friendly, gentle and cuddly young fellow and, did we mention energetic?  He rockets around the house, absolutely delighted with life. Says his foster mom, "He's such a little character!"  He loves visitors and is the first to greet them when they arrive.  He enjoys playing with one of the younger resident cats.  They gallop up and down the hallway - and for Rocky and those long back legs, that is an apt description of his running style!  Yes, Rocky is active - but that's a sign of a happy, healthy youngster.  He likes to talk too and his foster mom says it always sounds like he's asking her a question.  He enjoys children who like to play with him.  At the end of the day, Rocky will be found sleeping soundly on his foster mom's bed along with the other resident cats. 

Rocky cannot eat anything with fish in it.  He would do well in a home with another cat, hopefully one that would like to play.
