Meet Toto

We are pretty sure Toto is a Scotty mix. He has some small white markings so he could have some Poodle or Maltese DNA. He is about one year old and he weighs around 12 lbs. A few days after coming into the rescue he was diagnosed with Parvo and he was given a 50% chance to survive. After 4 weeks of being very ill and spending a lot of time in intensive care he turned the corner and started his recovery. It took many weeks for him to regain his full health. He is now a happy energetic little guy who loves to play with other dogs, older children (10 and up) and grown ups. He has a great appetite and has a real zest for life. He is a bit shy around strangers but he warms up in time. Watching him go from a sick little guy who was literally clinging to life to the happy little guy he is today was truly gratifying. We call him our little miracle dog. He is 98% potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. He loves to be outside with the squirrels, birds and butterflies. He does well in a crate but loves to sleep with his foster parents. Oh yeah, he does love to snuggle.
Adoption fee is $250.

** Please note: Due to their size, our dogs are not suitable for homes with children under 5.

We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws, please visit our website at www.lilpaws-malteserescue.org and fill out an adoption application. This is the first step in our adoption process. Our goal is to place our dogs in safe, stable and loving homes in the Austin Metropolitan area. Thanks for looking!

Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws solely depends on donations to keep the dogs in our program healthy. Many health issues are taken care of before a dog leaves a rescue: spaying, neutering, immunizations, dental care, and in some cases major surgery. Because of the cost of this care, donations are essential to enable us to continue our work. We thank you in advance for your support.
