Polo Corgi Mix Madison, WI

Polo was born 12/08 and has been with our rescue since 8/2011. This 50# pooch was surrendered by a family that was moving and could not afford to correct his cherry eye. He's since received correction for this common condition and is ready to find a forever home.

Polo is a sweet tempered pooch that would do well in any home. He adores children and people of all ages and enjoys getting affection from everyone he meets. His new owner may want to teach him to sit politely for pets as he currently likes to jump and give hugs for attention. Polo has gained a few pounds during his stay at the shelter despite being in high energy doggy play groups. He'd greatly benefit from moderate exercise such as daily walks, trips to the dog park, or doggie day care. He is very food motivated and enjoys sitting for treats.

Polo does well with other dogs and would be a good candidate for the dog park. He sniffs the felines at the shelter but walks away uninterested with most of them. Polo is crate trained but we do not know if he is housebroke. His adoption fee is $238.


Adoption Information:

Adoption clinics are held every Saturday from 10am – 2pm at PetsMart, 2216 E. Springs Drive. Most of our available dogs can be visited at that time. If you have an approved application, an appointment may be made to meet a dog at a different time. Our dogs have all been spay/neuter, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We take care of any veterinary care prior to adoption. We offer a $50 rebate to adopters who complete a training class and send in proof of completion within 4 months of adoption.
