Dexter has had 2 homes already in his short little life. Family #1 had him since he was a puppy. Here, Dexter lived with his family, their 2 year old and two other large breed dogs on a rural farm. When Dexter started going after the chickens to play (not good if you're a chicken :( they decided to rehome him rather than work with him.  

Family #2 had 2 teenagers and 1 toddler. They had him for about one month and while they loved him dearly, they realized that between work schedules and caring for a young family they didn't have the time required to properly exercise and care for Dexter and wanted LOYAL to help find him a FOREVER home. Dexter adored their 2 year old daughter (fuzzy picture shown in #3) and they often shared naps and playtime together!

Dexter has always been a house dog and has great manners. He is housetrained and will paw at the door to tell you he wants to go outside. 

He takes the sport of cuddling to new extremes and makes the funniest noises when he snuggles in close.

He knows sit, down, leave it, shake a paw and is very gentle when taking treats. 

Dexter's ideal home will be one that has done their research on the breed and can offer Dexter structure, training and regular exercise....yes, even in the winter when its not as much fun to walk!
