Dusty Weimaraner Charlestown, IN

Hi! My name is Dusty, and I am a 6-year-old boy. I am a normal sized Weim, weighing 70 pounds. I grew up with a family who trained me very well, and then later lived with a family who kept me outside. I hated living outside, and I am loving being indoors with my foster family. I am now looking for a forever home. I live with 2 foster dog brothers who are a lot smaller than me (10 and 20 pounds), but I'm gentle and nice with them because I love other dogs. I even love cats! My foster mom is so impressed with me because while I love chew toys, I never chew on anything that isn't a toy of mine. I love sniffing around, but I won't get into anything even when my foster parents are at work. I am potty trained, and I come and get my foster mom if I need to go. I have never made a mistake in their house since I've been here. I love going for walks, and I really enjoy when my foster dad takes me for runs. I'm still learning how to be good on a leash. I'm definitely doing a lot better than when my foster parents first got me. I ride well in a car too. I know how to sit, stay, come, lie down, and even shake hands! I do well playing with other dogs and with kids, but sometimes little kids can get scared because I am very playful, but I am gentle with both small dogs and with kids. My favorite thing to do is to lay on the couch with my foster dad and chew my kong toy. I love chew toys and bones so much that I carry one with me wherever I go. My foster family thinks I'm great! I am up to date on vaccinations, spayed, on heart worm preventative, and micro chipped. I am being fostered in Louisville, KY.
