Name/Nicknames: Came in as Ashley but we shortened it to just Ash-more manly.

My Story: Ash came from up north on the Red Lake reservation. He was rescued by Red Lake Rosie's Rescue. We have no idea what breed mix this cutie pie is. Just a guess at GSD and Aussie.

Hobbies: Favorite thing to do is play with other dogs and dog toys esp chew toys. The video is of Ash and a former foster dog Toby playing. They were best buds.


Commands/Tricks: Learned sit in about two minutes. He also knows come. Working on down. Ash will require puppy class to be the best dog he can be. Great bonding time for new owners too.

Crate / Potty Trained:Ash is housetrained. Sometimes he gets distracted outside and forgets why he is out there. He is crate trained too. He sleeps in his crate at night.


Activity Level: Ash is a typical puppy that will need daily exercise. He is learning to walk on a leash. He will probably be more on the medium energy side when he gets older. Not a hyper dog right now.

Fun things I do: Ash is great with other dogs. He can be a little bit too pesky with older cranky dogs though. He loves to play fetch and run after other dogs. Loves chew toys. New interest is rustling birds out of the back yard bushes. Might be some setter mixed in Ash too.

Socialization/who I currently live with: Ash currently lives with his foster mom, her college aged son and resident 7 year old springer. His mom owns Rescue Buddy Boarding & Beyond so there are many boarded dogs coming and going weekly.

My Ideal Family: Ideal family would have someone home part of the day so Ash can continue to learn about life in the cities. Another playful dog would be a plus. Ash is fine with all people too so some kids to throw the ball would be a dream.




Ash is attending Pet Haven's medium/large dog adoption events and his adoption fee is $300 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
