Date of birth: 3/11

7/8/12: Taffy is a beautiful Lab mix. Her coat is a pretty smokey black and brown color with white on her chest and toes. She's very sleek and elegant looking. We really don't know what breeds she's mixed with-- she's very unique! She is a year old.

Taffy is playful and very bright. She loves to play with toys and she loves the baby pools at the shelter. Be sure to watch her video!

We've been taking Taffy to obedience classes at The Dogs' Spot and she is doing great-- she's top of the class! She knows sit, wait, shake, down, and she's working on leash manners. She's food-motivated which helps with learning.

Taffy gets along with some but not all other dogs. If you have a dog you could make arrangements to bring your dog in to meet Taffy to make sure they'd get along.

Taffy weighs 50 lbs She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms.

We transferred Taffy to our shelter from the KCK Animal Control shelter. She was a stray.

> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, 5 lbs of Science Diet, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that most of our dogs do require a fenced yard, although there may some who are appropriate for apartment living or circumstances where a fence may not be required.

An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our pets, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the pet home with you that same day.
