MEET GINGER!!-A gorgeous 3 year old F1 Labradoodle girl surrendered to DRC along with her sister when their owner passed away. Ginger is a medium sized doodle at 50 lbs. and has a soft, mixed wire/fleece light-shedding coat that will require some grooming. Ginger does shed although much less than a Labrador Retriever.



Ginger and her sister were purchased from a breeder as puppies and were together in the same home before their owner passed away. Ginger is the more laid back and shy of the two girls and she would always play second fiddle to her more outgoing and dominant sister who would end up pushing poor Ginger around. We felt it was in Ginger's best interests to separate the siblings which we did. Low and behold! Ginger has a personality!



Ginger's foster mom reports: "Ginger has revealed her true personality now that her sister Lexy has been placed and she is really starting to thrive. Being the shyer of the two girls Ginger was particularly bonded to their late dad and she was a bit dazed and sad from all the sudden changes when the girls first arrived. The great news is Ginger has adjusted and she has been enjoying herself playing and socializing with my family and my pack. Ginger really has an incredible temperament. You won't find a dog with a bigger heart! She is so gentle and loving and highly people focused. She really wants to bond and stick close to her people. She is completely house trained and is solid on her "Sit", "Down", "Stay" and "Come" commands. I am embarrassed to say she listens to me better than my own pack!"



"Ginger is really a fantastic dog. She gets these adorable bursts of energy and loves to run around the yard playing. She'll settle down immediately the moment she comes back into the house. She loves attention and affection and her tail is always wagging. She's a real "pleaser" and is always eager to be the perfect little girl. She responds beautifully to praise. We have been working on her leash manners and she is doing phenomenally well. Ginger loves being around other dogs and she really needs a wonderful family that already has another well-mannered dog in the home for company.



Ginger is spayed, micro-chipped and UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. She would be happiest in an active, dog-savvy home with another dog for company and a large fenced in yard where she can romp and play freely. Ginger will be a perfect addition to the right family.



A physical fence is required.
