Beagle: An adopted dog in Warwick, NY

Small • Young • Male
He was one of five beagle found as a pack in a ditch in the Pine Island black dirt area. It is likely they were a failed hunting pack, left behind as garbage. Fortunately for them, they were all rescued. Freddie and one other were quickly adopted but he was returned after nearly a month despite promises of patience and house training. Freddie and the others were probably "coop: dogs, kept outside in all weather in barely adequate conditions. This was his first time inside as a pet and according to his adopter, he failed. Technically, his adopter failed and turned his back on him, returning him to the shelter. We were told that the neighbor was working with Freddie and he was making great progress. They were bitterly disappointed that he was brought back to us. So Freddie waits again for another chance to love and be loved.
