Look at those tiny ears! Folded ears come in three levels of foldedness. MacTavish's ears are the most folded called "airplane" for airplane wings. He is a beautiful boy with his great, green eyes and saturated red coloring. What a wonderful combination - the loving happy nature of a red tabby male and the sweetness and gentleness of a Scottish Fold.
He was Owner Surrendered to the shelter due to "moving". Clearly he was a family cat and good with kids (" 2 to 30 yrs old" they wrote ), good with other cats and also dogs. So far what we have seen is that he does not like other kitties. But we haven' t had him very long. The shelter asked us if we could take him because he was so scared there (" too scared to go up for adoption, hiding in his litterbox" ) This is all a big, sudden change for him so we will see how he settles in. So far he has been adapting quickly with us in the week we have had him.
His family said "he likes being held, is shy of strangers, uses his scratching post, and is outgoing / friendly".We have found that he likes attention and affection even from strangers. Birds outside his window keep him entertained. He is goodnatured and agreeable and he is clearly quite a character. I think he has been loved and cared for since the family bought him as a kitten. His family also left their two other cats at the shelter.I don't know about their dog. Hard Times.
He loves his wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
