When Hilary was a baby she was the most adventurous of her siblings, so she was named after the mountain climber/adventurer Hilary. Today she continues to explore but she's calmed down a lot mostly just wants to be near you. She's a curdler; she loves to sit with you while you watch TV; she loves to sleep with you and get belly rubs. She loves sitting in the window and watching the birds at the feeder.

Hilary's little family was rescued shortly after their mother had given birth at a golf course. The mom was feral and when the kittens were old enough and weaned, she was returned to golf course where she is loved and cared for in the life style she preferred. Her three daughters stayed in their foster home and were loved, handled and socialized. They became well rounded young ladies.

Most orange cats are male. However, in rare instances orange girls are born. That three were born to an orange mamma was unusual, indeed. That makes these girls very special. They purr up a storm when you pet them and chirp when they get excited and happy. They still snuggle together like when they were kittens. They touch my face when I feed them. They are a joy to behold but for some strange reason, through no fault of their own they have not yet found their own home.

Hilary and her sisters are good with other cats if introduced properly. They are also good with respectful-calm dogs and good around respectful and calm children 6 years old and up.

Hilary would love to be adopted with one or both of her siblings. If you would like to adopt a companion for Hilary, consider her siblings, Cinders and/or Bunny.
Hilary will be adopted to an inside home only. Reference and vet checks as well as a home visit are required. The adoption donation for individual cats is $100. If Hilary is adopted with a sibling, the adoption fee for each will be reduced to $50 each. The adoption donations are used to help other abandoned and abused kittens and cats.
