Meet Howie
As a rescue, we get to know hundreds of dogs and though they are all wonderful in their own way, it isn't every dog that we think of as a once-in-a-lifetime kind of pooch. Howie though, he IS that kind of guy. Not only is Howie handsome beyond compare--just look at those lanky legs!--but he is also one of the most social and well balanced guys we've ever had the pleasure of knowing.
In addition to being fabulous with people, Howie is great with other dogs and is a-ok with dog social cats too! Plus, he has that great energy balance of playful yet not hyper or overstimulated; Howie will happily go for a good walk or play with one of his toys and then snuggle up for movie time with his humans.
Due to an injury Howie sustained prior to coming to the rescue, in February he did have FHO surgery to correct an issue with is leg. He is recovering beautifully and loves his rehab sessions at Interative Pet Care. Though he should be fully recovered soon, One Tail at a Time will continue to stay closely involved and is here to help support Howie even after adoption.

As with all One Tail at a Time dogs, Howie has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $200 helps offset our medical costs. If you are interested in Howie, please email Anna at annaotat@gmail.com.
