Name/Nicknames: Kimono, Kimi

My Story: Kimono came from an impound in Maple Grove, MN. She was found roaming the streets of a nearby city.

Hobbies: Kimi likes playing fetch in the yard- she thinks she is part lab! She also and loves to snuggling and playing with dog toys. Basically, if Kimi is not chewing on her chew toy she is laying around; winter has brought out the cuddlebug side of her.

Commands/Tricks: Kimono knows sit, stay, lay down, drop, and leave it. She is still fine tuning these commands in public places, but has been making great progress.

Crate / Potty Trained: 100% crate trained and potty trained. She also does fine with free roam of the house, if you prefer that.

Activity Level: Medium/Low – Kimono will run with the dogs, and play fetch for a while- she has been to an off-leash dog park several times and did great each time. However, as soon as she gets indoors, she loves to cuddle; this has especially been the case since winter arrived. She is content to curl up next to you and sleep away!

Fun things I do: Kimono likes to play with other dogs, and follow her leader around. Kimono loves to be next to people, and loves attention. Kimono will play fetch at times, but will take off with the ball as well. She greets us each morning with what we call her Scooby-Doo voice; a howl/bark letting us know it is time to go outside!

Socialization/who I currently live with: Kimono lives with two adults, a one year old toddler, and two other adult dogs. One of the dogs is a medium sized pit bull mix, and the other is a larger retriever mix. Kimono also has daily interaction with two bichons, and weekly play time with a shepherd, lab and husky.

Kimono is attending Pet Haven's medium/large dog adoption events and her adoption fee is $300.00 (cash or check only), which includes her spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
