Roxie Pit Bull Terrier Saint Paul, MN

Roxie is a stunning young adult female dog, around 2 years old. She didn't have an ideal beginning in life, but she was blessed with some angels who cared enough about her to secure her place in rescue when they didn't feel they could give her what she needed. She would love nothing more than to put down some roots with a loving person or family to call her own!


Roxie spent about 6 weeks in boarding at a local vet while she waited for a foster home to open up. The boarding staff all seem to really enjoy Roxie and despite living in a boarding situation for over a month, she does not seem to be much worse for the wear. ;) From our time with her, she seems easily trainable, very responsive to people, and like she may be okay with other dogs especially if introduced correctly and properly supervised and managed. Doing as well as she did at the boarding facility, we can only imagine how she will blossom and flourish in the loving environment of a family home! She has now joined a foster family and I'm sure we'll be learning more and more about her.

Update from foster home (10.18.2011):
2 year old Roxi has just moved into her new foster home and is fitting in just great. She is a beautiful, sweet, loving girl, who loves attention and has alot of energy. She lives with another female pitbull and does great with her and other dogs, especially when playing! She is learning about the cats she lives with, (mostly not to chase them). She loves to take walks! She is becoming a very good walker and listens very well. Roxi knows how to sit and we are working on other basic comands. She takes treats very nice and does very well in her crate. In this foster home she will also be around many children, other animals, she does great in cars, and many other things to make sure she is well socailized.

We know she will make a great part of any family because she is so sweet and affectionate. We hope that she will find her forever family soon.
