Sasha came from a breeder in Iowa that was starving and neglecting their dogs.
She is now with Waverly Pet Rescue and living in a foster home. She is up to date on shots, tested heartworm negative, started on heartworm preventative, dewormed, and spayed, and housetrained.

Sasha is a 5-year-old great dane and weighs about 120 pounds. She is purebred and is very sweet. She loves attention and loves to be babied! Sasha is completely housetrained and doesn't chew. She would love to sleep in bed with you but if you tell her no she will sleep on a blanket next to the bed. Sasha is a great watch dog and will bark when someone comes to the door but stops when told. She knows how to be crated but does just as well out of her crate. Sasha does well on car rides and stays in the yard. She gets along with cats well and with kids of any age. She does well with other dogs but does tend to be more dominant of the dogs if she had a choice but accepts that she cannot always be. She is a really great dog and deserves a great home where she will be loved for the rest of her life!

After you have completed an adoption application (see wpr.petfinder.com for a link to the online application) and have been approved, Waverly Pet Rescue will arrange with you to visit the animal of your choice. As is normal procedure for most pet rescues and shelters, Waverly Pet Rescue's animals see a veterinarian for routine examinations and shots. If an animal appears healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, extensive testing is not done.
