You can clearly see that I am a pretty girl, but I'll share a secret with you: I'm a lot funnier in person than in photos. My foster family says that I have so many facial expressions that they can read exactly what I'm thinking! I'm proud to be a purebred Chesapeake Bay Retriever. As you probably know, my breed is pretty wonderful. Please do look us up because we're a lot less common than our Golden and Labrador cousins. We have our own characteristics and I'm an excellent example of the breed, if I say so myself! I'm four years old and I'm a good hunting companion. My owner had no intention of ever giving me up but he was harmed in a car accident so had to find a new home for me. He trained me very well. I don't pull on my leash so walking me is a joy. I love walks so much that I gaze up adoringly at the lucky person walking me! I love car rides, too. I'm very playful and just love to retrieve. If you don't have something convenient for me to retrieve, don't worry because I'll find something! Big rocks, huge sticks, I can find something that will work just fine! I'm a happy dog. I'm a natural at cheering up people. With all my expressions and my funny antics, I promise you'll soon be laughing!


We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed.
