Meet Duncan
This handsome lad is Duncan. Duncan is a 16 week old American Pit Bull Terrier, and as you can tell from the pictures, he is a beautiful red brindle. HELP got the word that this little fellow was at a shelter and was in desperate need of rescue.
After his journey here, he settled nicely into his foster home. He loves running with and leaping over his foster brother, Will. He is very agile and very quick. He absolutely loves everyone he meets and greets them with kisses and tail-a-waggin'! Duncan is getting used to going for walks and tends to be a little nervous with new sights and sounds, but he tries to be brave. He goes to work with his foster mom, so is getting used to the people and animals at the vet clinic.
Duncan is just about 100% housebroken. He will go to the door when he has to go potty. He is not a big fan of the crate. He does do very well at night and can go 3-4 hours during the day out of the crate. He will share his toys with his human friends, but is protective of his food and toys with other dogs. Will is very patient with this, so an older and/or patient dog would do better than a puppy.
Duncan would love to have someone home most of the day since he is so young. He is a very affectionate puppy and loves to cuddle. He currently weighs 28 lbs. and will probably weigh 50-60 lbs. when fully grown. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, monthly heartworm, and flea preventative.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DUNCAN, please fill out our Adoption Application. This is the first step in meeting the dog. Our web site is updated regularly, so if you see a dog posted here, most likely, he/she is still available. Please fill out an application and submit it as indicated on the app. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING!
