Fabio Basset Hound Laval, QC

FABIO the FABULOUS! I am a young tri-colour 50 pound Basset Hound boy of about 2 years of age, playful and good natured. My foster family says I am HOUSETRAINED, and energetic at play, but I settle down and will sleep at your feet for a quiet time, I just want to be near you! Great with kids, but no cats in the home as I love to chase them! I LOVE being near my people! 

I have a generous heart and get along well with other friendly dogs. I do not guard my bowl nor toys. But I am greedy, given the opportunity I will grab your sandwich if you are not paying attention—after all, YOU obviously left it for me! I need a securely fenced back yard for us to exercise in, as if I get loose, I am a scent hound and will follow an interesting scent for miles, before I realize I am lost! I will go into a crate but I bark at first til I settle down, so if you need a crate, I am best in a house rather than condo or apartment. 

I am quite good in the car and I have a good appetite. NEUTERED as well as dewormed, vaccinated bordatella, Max 5 and Rabies. No fleas. Heartworm tested negative, I am on Revolution for heartworm prevention. 

I was rescued from a high kill pound just in the nick of time before being killed. One of the lucky ones, now all I need is my own loving home where I will be appreciated! 

NOTE: Fabio is a fabulous family dog with children!
