Baron the Best! Pit Bull Terrier & Mastiff Mix Vancouver, BC

Please don't judge Baron by the size of his melon head :) You couldn't ask for a nicer boy...all muscley on the outside, and one huge softy on the inside. There's a reason he's the volunteer's favorite and he could be your favorite dog too! He reminds us of those big burly guys who have a soft spot for little cuddy animals. Baron has been waiting a long time here for someone to consider him and we're shocked that nobody has scooped up this big lughead of love.

Baron LOVES people and is great with other dogs. He is our resident "grandpa" to our naughty puppies and just tolerates their antics with endless patience. He is housebroken and loves car rides. He is only about 70 lbs so not as big as his breed mix might indicate.

He is about 7 years old, and just loves to hang out with the volunteers as much as he can. He puts on a great show in his kennel -sitting politely wagging his tail, hoping he'll get chosen for a walk. So what's a dog like him still doing here..well Baron has some hip arthritis. It doesn't slow him down one bit, but he does benefit from monitored exercise (Baron does go on walks daily) and may need the occasional anti-inflammatory if he over does it. He says he's not ready to miss out on life, so we're going with that and trying to find this super dog a super home!


Hours for adoption viewings are Mon - Friday from noon until 6 pm, and Sat/Sun from 10 - 4 pm. Please be advised that our dogs are strays, so we do not have any background history on them.
