Meet Mabel-Adopted!

Mabel was a stray that was found full of milk but with no puppies and taken to a local kill shelter from which she was pulled by Home Fur-Ever. She has a fantastic temperament and is great with people, including young children, and other dogs. She has encountered a cat, but didn't pay any attention to it. She loves attention and will roll over to get her belly scratched. She is very gentle and mild mannered, quiet, and knows her basic commands. Unfortunately, because of living a life outside, she had contracted heartworm disease, but has successfully completed her treatment and made a full recovery. Mabel is ready to find a forever family to love and care for her as she so deserves. Birth date 2/11/09
Please inquire about her to cridgway@emich.edu or homefurever@comcast.net

Additional info on our home page.
Home FurEver is a non-profit foster based canine rescue seeking foster parents, volunteers and donations. Please see our website for more information.
Please note that Home FurEver does not post applications on line. We will receive all applications in person at local adoption events in order to conduct an in-person interview. All members of the household should be present for the application and interview process. All applicants require a home inspection - Please note that we cannot drive more than an hour to do a home inspection. We do require a fenced back yard for all bully breeds. Some dogs may require households with children over the age of 5.

Ask yourself some questions before you consider bringing a new dog home.

1. Am I ready for a LIFE LONG commitment?

2. Am I prepared for a roudy puppy?

3. Am I prepared to potty train?

4. Is this the right breed for me or my family?

5. Can I afford the food and vet care for this dog?
6. Is it best to have a totally fenced yard?

7. Will I make a commitment to obedience training?
