Why would someone do this to me? My eye hurts so bad, it is infected and Im so congested I can hardly breathe. Im so scared and all alone. What did I do wrong? How could they just throw me away like trash when I am so sick? I have to find a safe place to stay but Im too weak, I have not eaten in days. I have no food and no strength to go look for food. I know I am pregnant and the babies will be born any day now. How am I going to take care of babies when Im so sick, I cant even find food or a warm place to stay. I cant die out here all alone; I have to take care of my babies. Swan was found living inside a fire pit in someones back yard; she had four beautiful two week old babies. She only weighed five pounds when she came to us. Her eyes were terribly infected; one had ruptured from the infection and was mostly gone. She was so congested from an upper respiratory infection she could only lay down to feed her babies for short...

She was so congested from an upper respiratory infection she could only lay down to feed her babies for short periods of time because she could not breath lying down. She would often sleep sitting up, if she layer down do long she would start coughing and wheezing. Her upper respiratory infection was so bad it has caused permanent damages to her sinuses. Her vet said she will always be a Chronic Snuffler in other words, she will always sound sick and congested even though she is healthy. There is now an empty socket where her eyes use to be. Vets felt it best not to stress her by doing surgery and to it leave it be since doing surgery would be mostly cosmetic to completely clean out the eye socket and sew it shut. Swan is an amazing cat who is lucky to be alive. She was a loving mom who took great care of her babies despite feeling so bad. Swan is a gentile soul, she is quite and sweet. She gets along great with other cats. She is always excited for meal time but will wait patiently for her turn to eat. She loves attention and to be with you all the time. Swan needs a special home; it must be quiet, low stress, with no small children or loud dogs. She needs a family that will understand that she could get upper respiratory infections from time to time and may need antibiotics for that occasionally. Other then that she can lead a long normal life. I know Swan is not prefect on the outside but she more then makes up for that on the inside. All she wants is someone to love her and give her a second chance to be happy. If you think you could open your heart and your home to Swan please call us. Her foster mom can be reached by email at KathrineGill@hotmail.com if you have questions or would like to meet her.
